Keeping community alive on London’s Southbank
community

The Agency Partnership team is always on the look out to support local communities. We were therefore delighted to be asked by the Jubilee Gardens Trust, a local charity that owns the Jubilee Gardens on London’s Southbank, to help relaunch its well-loved children’s playground following an extensive makeover.

Community

Collaborating with the charity itself, and local business / community leaders we developed a programme to target the communities in South London most likely to benefit from the renewed open space.

Targeting local media, and forums we arranged photo-calls for local dignitaries and park trustees, as well connected the reopening of the playground to a wider story focussed on the promoting London’s green and recreational spaces as essential to the general wellbeing of Londoner’s.

Securing coverage across media and online outlets widely read by local residents – the programme resulted in people returning to the playground, a revived sense of community, and Jubilee Gardens’ fulfilling the moniker of ‘London’s most visited playground.’

We are very pleased to continue to support the Trust (most recently providing counsel on forthcoming donor-attraction projects), as it provides an essential community service to the very heart of London.
