Taking a stand, giving hospitality a break

The Agency Partnership supported The Lorenz Consultancy, a boutique property consultancy, in taking a stand for hospitality and leisure tenants across the country, in the face of unprecedented challenges resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the government’s moratorium on commercial evictions was drawing to an end in March 2021, with no replacement in sight, we launched the #GiveHospitalityABreak campaign. It called for the extension of the moratorium, and the deferment of rent arrears owed by commercial tenants up and down the country.

We helped craft a bespoke and separate identity to ensure as many individuals and organisations could support the campaign as possible, launched and ran new social media channels, and reached out to potential supporters in government, industry, trade bodies and the media.

As part of our activities, we supported The Lorenz Consultancy’s submission to the Government’s call for evidence into the Commercial Eviction Moratorium: helping to ensure that our client’s expert views were represented to government.

The campaign resulted in sustained coverage for the campaign in our target publications, as well as The Lorenz Consultancy’s senior partner, Anthony Lorenz, featuring prominently in pre-budget and budget-day analysis for a number of national publications including The Daily Express and The Daily Mail, alongside key trades including BigHospitality and The Caterer. This helped further cement the Lorenz Consultancy’s leading position in the leisure and hospitality sectors.
